It’s been 12 days without snow now in Zermatt after the huge snowfalls in the four weeks after Christmas.
The avalanche danger has dropped from 5 out of 5 to a moderate level 2 out of five and most days are sunny with skiers reporting superb conditions.
Base depths remain excellent at 150 to 340cm and the resort has just over half of its 380km of terrain open at time off writing, 184km to be precise (as Zermatt is).
