It’s been a second successive mostly dry and sunny week in Zermatt.
However the resort reports almost all lifts are still operating and almost all runs still open as we reach md-April at the year-round ski centre.
Snow depths are 80cm in resort, 360cm on upper slopes – about an inch of fresh snow is expected during the week ahead.
The warm conditions and big snowpack mean the avalanche danger is still rated as ‘considerable’ – level 3 on the scale to 5.
