Anyone considering skiing at Whistler Blackcomb at the start or end of the coming 13-14 season might be wise to consider buying their lift pass this summer, in advance online, as the famous Canadian resort is currently offering price discounts of up to 40% on 2 – 8 day passes purchased online via:

A six day adult lift pass drops from $624 Canadian dollars plus tax (£394) to $391 Canadian dollars plus tax (£394) to £246 – a saving of 37% on the window price if you buy in resort. Tickets are valid for use from the start of the season to December 13th, and from March 31st to the end of the ski season in late April, and must be purchased by August 31st.
Smaller discounts are available for advance purchase by August 31st for other periods in the season. On a 6 day pass the discount drops to 28% ($448) for the pre-Christmas week and only 5% ($591) over Christmas and New Year before climbing again to 27% ($454) the resort of January, 21% ($493) in February and 22% ($484) in March. From March 31st the discounted rate returns to 37% = $391.
Children aged 7-12 receive a 50% discount, teens to age 18 and seniors over 65 around 20% off the full adult price.
