It’s been a mostly sunny week in the Swiss Alps but its looking snowier for the week ahead.
Snowfall is forecast to get heavier from Wednesday and is currently expected to continue right through the Easter weekend. Up to a metre of snow in total may fall.

Swiss ski resorts already include the ski area currently claiming the deepest snow pack in the world at Engelberg (6.6m/22 feet), and most of the country’s ski areas are posting their thickest snow covering for some years, so it’s looking like great Easter holiday skiing and indeed good to late April and into May too for those Swiss resorts that choose to stay open.
