It’s Austria’s turn to see a lot of snow it seems with some big snowfalls in the past few days, and it’s still snowing heavily in many areas now. There have been strong winds at times too though.
Lots of ski areas across the country from Iachgl and Galtur to the Stubai glacier have been reporting 20-40cm of fresh snowfall so far over the weekend and in to the start of this week.
(The Stubai above on Sunday and video below, Monday morning).
So conditions are looking good for the start of Spring and for Easter holiday snowsports in Austria.
Base depths continue to be exceptionally good with up to 575cm (19 feet) lying on upper glacier slopes and the Arlberg region edging closer to an incredibly 5m snow depth on their top runs – currently at 4.8m.
The week ahead looks to be a weather mix with most snow, some sunny days, some cloudy.
Viel Schnee = Viel zu tun für unser Pistenteam ?
