It’s the last week of the season coming up for most of the Swiss ski areas that are still open – and that’s not many now.
But some Swiss areas are open for much of May, including Engelberg – still claiming a 7m/23 foot snow depth of the Titlis glacier, the deepest in Europe; Glacier 3000 (pictured) and Zermatt.
Conditions are typical for late April/early May with cold nights and warm afternoons underfull sun, leaving the snow hard first thing in the morning, good for skiing or boarding from mid-morning to early afternoon.
