With Engelberg ending the ski season in its Titlis glacier after seven months on the last weekend of May, year-round Zermatt is the only ski area open in Switzerland through June.
Snow depths on the Zermatt glacier may not quite be as deep as deepest-in-the-world-for-most-of-2018 Titlis at over 6 metres/20 feet but Europe’s highest ski slopes are certainly in good shape for summer 2018.
Unless you include places like the snow play area on the Jungfraujoch above Wengen and Grindelwald, Zermatt will be the only ski area open in Switzerland until Saas Fee re-opens in mid-July.
