It has been a snowy week in Austria, in common with the rest of the Alps.
Snowfalls have not been so big as in other Alpine countries, but have still added 1-2 feet (30-60cm) of snow this week at most Austrian areas with much more forecast for the week ahead.

The Arlberg region saw the biggest snowfalls with another 65cm (over two feet) of fresh powder this week – there’s now more than a metre of snow lying at resort level and 2m on higher slopes.
Ischgl, the Stubai Glacier and several resorts in the Ziller Valley reported 40-50cm snowfalls, with most other resorts reporting 15-25cm of new snow.
It has been warm at times though and some low lying resorts like Mayrhofen, Zell am See and St Wolfgang have no snow left at resort level despite receiving fresh snow higher up.
