March has had a snowier star than much of February in the Dolomites.
After low temperatures last week 10cm (4 inches) of fresh snow fell on Friday, just in time for the weekend.
It has now warmed up to just below freezing and more snow is in the forecast – perhaps 10cm on Tuesday/Wednesday.
Conditions remain good in Val Gardena even without the sunshine though. The base remains a healthy 50-130cm and almost every run is open and every lift turning.
