One of the more unusual spring festivals in the Alps will return to the French resort of La Plagne at the end of the season in mid- April.
The Subli’Cimes festival which sees an eclectic mix of free activities and attractions take place on the resort’s five mountain summits has, like all other spring festivals, missed the past two seasons due to the pandemic, but is back for its sixth staging from 13-18 April 2022.
This year attractions at Plan Bois (1,600 m) will include a giant ball pool, a sweet bar, rubber rings and kites.
At Le Fornelet (1,970 m) there’ll be live painting, a big jump, DJ sets, and other surprises.
La Grande Rochette (2,508 m) will be transformed into Goa, India, complete with palm trees, a mocktail bar, and swing.
Alice in Wonderland will take over La Roche de Mio (2,739 m) with a snow maze, a tea time area, and face painting for children.
Finally, La Rossa (2,150 m) will feature a huge snow cave with a fantasy theme, and ice sculpture demonstrations.
Entry is free for anyone who has a valid ski pass and a health pass is also currently required for those aged 12+.
