Crystal Ski Holidays, the UK’s largest ski tour operator, has launched new train-travel inclusive package holidays offering customers as an alternative to flying.

Available to book for departures from next month (January 2025), Crystal offer travel using existing Eurostar services to Paris, where there’s a station change before catching the fast French SNCF trains to the Alps. There, Crystal reps will be waiting to transport arrivals to one of five leading resorts.

“Our aim is to make the booking process as easy as possible and offering a range of travel options, alongside our flying and self-drive programmes is key to that. We’re always looking for ways to enhance the experience for our customers and this new service allows skiers to enjoy a comfortable and relaxed journey while still reaching their destination with ease,” commented Crystal Ski Holidays’ Managing Director Chris Logan.

This new route includes travel from London St Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord, where customers can then transfer via the RER train to Paris Gare de Lyon, to board the SNCF train to Bourg Saint Maurice. On arrival customers will be met by the Crystal team for ongoing transfer to one of the five resorts available to book within this package; La Rosière, Les Arcs, Sainte-Foy, Tignes and Val d’Isère.

The train will run from Saturday, 4th January and will operate through to 29th March 2025. Ski holidays by train for Winter 2025/26 will be available to book from August 2025. Those buying the package need to manage their own RER transfer in Paris but comes with the assurance of ABTA protection. Customers must purchase the ‘T+ ticket’ ticket independently for their onwards journey from Paris to Bourg Saint Maurice.
