One of the UK’s leading independent ski tour operators, Edinburgh-based Ski Independence, is reporting demand for ski holidays for the 2016/2017 season is currently very buoyant for both North American and European resorts, despite Brexit uncertainty leading to a weaker pound.

“I’m delighted to report strong early sales for winter 16/17 with our combined ski sales currently 30% ahead of the same point last year. Our product range is undoubtedly our best ever across Europe and North America and we’re delighted to be featuring Italy for the first time,” said Michael Bennett Managing Director of Ski Independence.

Ski Independence currently offers  56 resorts throughout North America and Europe and the new Italian destinations of Madonna di Campiglio, Cortina d’Ampezzo and San Cassiano (pictured).

A number of special early booking deals available for people who are ready to book in mid-summer, seem to be in p[art behind the company’s current sales success.  These include savings of up to 55% to stay at the 5-star Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Seven night prices including flights and transfers start at £1,268pp. Or at another Canadian BC resort there’s 50% off at Upper Village Premium Condos in Panorama with prices including flights and transfers are from £949pp

In the French Alps there are savings of up to 20% on French self-catering apartments including the 4-star luxury residences L’Amara in Avoriaz. Seven night prices including flights and transfers start at £417pp.
