When it comes to offering a diverse range of ski holidays, nobody quite matches up to the selection on the Ski Club of Great Britain’s Freshtracks programme.
It’s back in full this winter, for the first time since before the pandemic, with over 150 different options to choose from.
While we usually choose our ski holiday based on the resort, dates and accommodation, Ski Club Freshtracks offer many more aspects to the ski holiday experience.
To begin with while most holidays run from mid-December to Easter, you can also head off to Tignes to kick the season off in late November, or ski with them right through to Val Thorens into May.
Then there are holidays for different groups of people with specific skiing needs. How about a family off-piste adventure in Chamonix or a women-only powder week in Flaine?
Single skiers are well catered for with plenty of trips for them so no need to ski alone and there’s a great selection of trips for older skiers aged 55 plus with titles like ‘Ski Schnapps 1 in Zermatt’ who don’t want annoying youngsters on their trip.
Improving your skills on and off piste are a big part of the Freshtracks offer with lots of trips where you focus on gaining the skills you’ve always wanted to be able to head off into the powder with confidence.
Holidays can only be taken by Ski Club members but it’s easy to become one, with a range of membership options available, including a version that includes comprehensive ski travel insurance. If you join the Club and book at the same time non-members will receive 50% off selected variants of the membership fee.
“With over 150 different packages available we think there’s definitely something for everyone, whether you want to brush up on technique, learn to ski powder or just join like-minded people for a social week on the slopes,” said Katy Ellis, Head of Freshtracks Holidays at the Ski Club of Great Britain, adding, “We can’t wait to get back on the slopes again with our first weeks starting at the end of November”.
The Ski Club of Great Britain is a membership organisation that operates on a not-for-profit basis. It was founded in 1903 at the Café Royale in central London and its current membership exceeds 18,000. Apart from being able to join Freshtracks holidays members benefit from a number of offers with leading partner brands such as Snow + Rock, Ski Solutions, Sunweb and SkiSet and receive the Club’s magazine, Ski+Board.
