Welcome to the The Switzerland Snow Report and Forecast for the Week Ending December 2nd 2017. The Swiss ski season is really fully underway now with about 20 areas fully open and as many again opening at weekends. That number will no doubt double from Friday.
Most resorts are seeing a great start to ‘winter’ 17-18 too with a fourth successive weekend of snowfalls, the Diablerets Glacier near Gstaad scoring the biggest snowfall accumulation with 60cm (two feet) of snow on Sunday/Monday.
At Saas Fee the good news is that there’s now top to bottom skiing down to village level from 3600m down to 1800m.
Die Talabfahrt Saas-Fee ist offen und es herrschen top Pistenverhältnisse. Also ab auf die Skis!************The run down to the village Saas-Fee is open with great piste conditions. Let's go skiing!

However Engelberg, which has one of the country’s deepest snow bases up top with 2.5m (incl 15cm fresh), shows us that down in the lower valleys around 1000-1100m it’s a bit early still for full snow cover.
