Swiss slopes are in good shape after more snowfall over the past week. More snowfall is in the forecast too.
Around half of Swiss ski areas have opened already and some and posting exceptional bases considering it’s still early December, with Engelberg topping the table with a 305cm (10 foot) base. There’s 50km of runs open there at present.
The Engadin region (above) where night skiing resumes on Friday 8th has the most groomed runs open in Switzerland at present with 118km. The 4 Valleys has the second most terrain open however with more than 80km of runs open already, Zermatt is in third place with 74km.
The coming week will see more areas opening, more snow and hopefully a continuing good start to the main season.
