Whilst still an intimate, friendly resort dwarfed by its neighbours, it’s no longer the sleepy mountain village it once was. Ski school is very different and far superior to the norm in the bigger, impersonal resorts with small class sizes and caring instructors offering a far more personal touch. Those off-piste slopes are a big attraction. The resort is famous for its abundant powder and there are some wonderful descents to enjoy. There’s plenty of groomed terrain for experienced skiers too, with tree-lined slopes and higher altitude options at 2600m and above.

Sainte Foy is also perfectly placed for day trip ski safaris with easy access to neighbouring resorts La Plagne, Les Arcs, Val dʼIsère and Tignes. There’s even the chance to ski from La Rosière over the border to La Thuile in Italy for a lovely Italian lunch!
