In Selva Val Gardena you will find a slice of traditional mountain life in the heart of the spectacular Dolomiti Superski area, the world’s largest ski area.
Though part of Selva’s charm comes from its traditional atmosphere, the skiing here boasts some of the most modern and efficient lift systems around as well as a high proportion of slopes covered by snowmaking equipment. Intermediate to advanced skiers will thrive here, with a number of wide, open red runs and some steeper blacks. Indeed, Selva’s legendary Saslong slope has seen some of the world’s top ski racers compete for victory. Plus, the Sellaronda, the famed ski circuit of the Dolomites provides a great itinerary for skiers looking for a day’s challenge. The sunny slopes of Ortisei are close by and provide more than enough entertainment for beginners and lower intermediates who want to stick to the local area.
Down in the resort, a lively town centre hosts a range of entertaining après bars, where you can sample local drinks and music!
