There’s a huge difference in the base depth in Solden with 10cm down in the valley and 296cm up top on the glaciers.
There’s been 15cm of snow in the past few days and another 30cm or so of fresh snow is expected by the weekend.
Like most of the Alps the resort has been impacted by strong winds as well as the snow which has forced it to close some runs, today 18 of the 40 groomed trails were open and only 9 of 31 lifts.
Conditions should gradually improve through the rest of the week however.
