Balkan Ski Holidays are increasing a programme which allows guests flying home to Bristol, East Midlands, Manchester and Newcastle airports spend their final day in Bulgaria’s capital city, Sofia.

“We are delighted to offer the chance to soak up some Bulgarian history and culture after a week on the slopes, and expect this to be an ever-more popular optional extra this Winter,” said the company’s Head of Marketing, Louise Newton, who added,

“Sofia is a bustling, cosmopolitan, compact and characterful place. It is young, lively and appealing, with numerous bars and cafes as well as churches, treasure-filled museums, art galleries and leafy parks.”

The ‘Sofia See-Off Tour’ is booked and paid for in resort, from £9 per child and from £12.50 per adult. The excursion departs 9am (Bansko, pictured below) and 10.15am (Borovets) but is not available from the resort of Pamporovo.

There’s free time to do some last-minute shopping, before the coach returns, guests are reunited with their luggage and the return flight home takes off.

Ski holiday packages with Balkan Holidays are available from £232 per person, with a 40% saving, departing 4th January 2019, and including return flights, transfers, 7 nights’ self-catering accommodation at the 3* Aparthotel Winslow Infinity and services of Balkan Holidays’ representatives. The company has  increased capacity out of East Midlands and Newcastle this winter.
