The French Alps are looking good after significant snowfall which is set to continue through the weekend.
Many areas received up to 50cm of fresh snow in the first 24 hours of the new snow storms up to March 1st.

The snowy weather was, in many cases, followed by blue skies for perfect powder snow skiing.
And more snowy weather is forecast over the weekend with another 30-50cm expected.
So base depths, which were already good, are looking better still.
Among the resorts posting big snowfalls in 24 hours are Courchevel, Meribel (above) and Tignes with 40cm (16 inches); La Plagne and les Menuires with 35cm (14 inches); Avoriaz (below), Flaine and Val Thorens with 30cm (12 inches); and Les Arcs and Les Gets with 25cm (10 inches).
