Whilst most football fans will have everything focussed on the current World Cup competition in Australia and New Zealand, a second contest is getting underway, this time in Norway, the world’s largest youth soccer tournament.
The Norway Cup attracts around 2,000 youth teams from around 30 nations from across the world each summer. The 2023 contest takes place this week with matches playing on 89 pitches across capital Oslo.
This year the new SNØ indoor snow centre near Oslo, one of the world’s largest and built with a carbon-neutral operating model in 2020, has taken some of its indoor snow outdoors for the event.
The centre has created a 25 metre outdoor snow slope for a bit of snow fun for tournament participants when they’re not competing. Snow blades are available for some sliding fun.
We have a regular Podcast called The White Out where we review the latest gear, talk about the latest snow forecast and updates on where is best to ski now, as well interviews with absolute ski legends AND we spotlight a resort every week and so much more.
