Good conditions in Switzerland this week with most of the country’s ski runs open and nearly all lifts operating.
Ski areas that were closed by avalanche danger and too much snow have now all re-opened, and in most places the avalanche danger of piste has dropped from the max 5 out of 5 on the scale to 2 or 3 out of 5.

There was fresh snow at some areas on Friday, Verbier reporting one of the biggest falls – 35cm in 24 hours. 380 of 410km in the 4 Valleys are currently reported open.
The weather is currently unsettled across the country with sunshine alternating with cloudy conditions and resulting flat light on the slopes at times.
Engelberg has a 644cm base, still the world’s deepest.
