The recently reopened El Lodge at Sierra Nevada in Spain, Europe’s most southerly ski resort, is offering its guests the chance to take advantage of its proximity to the Mediterranean coast by offering a ‘ski and sea’ package.
With two days at the ski resort, staying in a deluxe room with a Jacuzzi, and two more by the sea at sister property the Marbella Club Golf Resort and Spa. Packages start from £1444 per person.
The two hotels also offer guests staying at the Marbella Club a unique ‘Up and Down’ day trip to Sierra Nevada, with ski equipment, transfers, a snack for the journey and lunch on the sun deck at El Lodge, Sierra Nevada’s only ski-in/ski-out restaurant, which has direct access to the Maribel and Aguila ski runs, all included in the package, which costs from £595 per person. With just 20 rooms, El Lodge retains the feel of a private chalet and can be booked by room per night or in its entirety for private parties. The Marbella Club, which is located on the Southern Spanish Costa del Sol, on the heart of the ‘Golden Mile’, has enjoyed links with skiing and Sierra Nevada for over 50 years. In the early 1960s, the hotel was the private residence of Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe, who did much to promote the ease with which visitors could waterski on the Mediterranean Sea and within two hours be on the ski slopes of Sierra Nevada.
