One of the longest running music festivals in the Alps, Snowbombing, has announced it will be taking place next April 2021, but warned that there won’t be many tickets available when they go on sale next week.
“Please be aware that, due to customers transferring their bookings from this year’s event to next year’s, there will be a very limited number of places available,” a festival statement reads.
Snowbombing is the latest music festival to confirm it will take place next winter with Rise in Les 2 Alpes this December and Snowbox in Avoriaz next March also confirming they’re ‘go’ for next winter.
Snowbombing will take place for 5-10 April 2021. Tickets will go on sale next week on Tuesday 1st September for those on the mailing list with the general sale opening on Thursday 3rd September.
As with the other festivals it is not yet really clear, and probably not yet known, how some events at the festival will work assuming social distancing and other restrictions remain in place.
In recent weeks Austrian ski resorts have begun stressing that there will be none of the lively apres-ski atmosphere for which many are famous, one saying that it’s slopeside cafes will operate “More like coffee bars with subdued music” instead this winter.
However the Snowbombing 2021 announcement says festival-goers can, “….expect traditional Austrian street parties complete with lederhosen and steins, all-day mountaintop raves, 5-star hotels with spas and saunas, forest parties, alpine yoga, comedy shows and talks, cycling, paragliding, climbing and so much more.”
