The Ski Club of Great Britain has launched a new end-of-season skiing holiday, Tignes Takeover, based in the high-altitude resort of Tignes and designed for up to 100 people that want to experience a social skiing holiday during the spring. It will run from April 26 to May 3, 2025.

With exclusive use of the 3* L’Aiguille Percee Hotel in Tignes Le Lac, the 121-year-old Ski Club plans to organise social skiing, including the opportunity for members of all ski standards to come together and enjoy some end of season skiing. Members can free ski, social ski or book a 6 day on-piste or off-piste course. It means that couples and friends of different ski standards can be on the same trip together.

The week coincides with Tignes’ annual Spring Break event and its first year hosting the Tignes Unlimited Festival. The Spring Break event includes a mix of winter sports and festival line-ups, including outdoor DJ sets, daily après-ski parties, and the famous waterslide contest, where skiers and snowboarders attempt to cross a 15-metre pool. The season finale, Tignes Unlimited, debuts from 26 April to 4 May, blending spring skiing with world-class electronic music. Featuring international DJs like Paul Kalkbrenner and Laurent Garnier, performances span bars, mountain stages, and resort venues.

COO of the Ski Club of Great Britain, James Gambrill, said: “Tignes is an incredibly popular resort for our members and it’s one of the few places in the Alps that consistently offers fantastic snow conditions right the way through April and into May. This new week is designed to offer our members the ultimate end of season farewell to the snow, with a festival atmosphere in the resort and the chance to ski with like-minded people at their skiing levels. We’re really excited that Tignes is running these incredible events over the same week as our Tignes Takeover, simply adding to the options our members have both on and off the slopes”.

The Tignes Takeover week costs £999pp including 7 nights half-board accommodation in the 3* L’Aiguille Percee Hotel (twin occupancy), return airport transfers and services of a Ski Club of Great Britain rep.

Membership with the Ski Club of Great Britain costs from £80 per year (full adult rate), including a number of benefits and discounts through its partners, plus access to the Ski Club’s robust winter sports insurance policy.
