Swiss ski centres are in great shape after heavy snowfall in the days after Christmas.
These snowfalls of up to 70cm in 36 hours followed a dry and sunny Christmas period when skiers and boarders could just enjoy all the snow that had fallen through November and December, giving the best bases for at least the past four season starts.

Another wave of heavy snowfall is forecast for Saturday 30th December to finish the year on a high. 60-70cm of new snow is expected in may areas.
