Where to Ski or Board in Austria to February 24, 2018

It has been a largely sunny week in Austria with great conditions on the slopes.

There have been some small snow falls and the country’s snow depths have almost reached 6 metres (20 feet) on the glaciers – one of the deepest levels reported for decades.

The Kaunertal glacier (video below) has a 595cm base

Even at non-glacier destinations like St Anton upper slope depths are nearly 4.5m (15 feet).

So it’s looking good for the last few months of the season, in fact it looks set to be one of the best spring skiing seasons in years.

Currently the week ahead looks mostly more of the same with temperatures staying low so the snow should stay in good shape in to March.
