Rob Stewart from Ski Press brings us this Sierra Nevada Snow Report 25 February 2018, where conditions were looking absolutely glorious last week.

Sierra Nevada has had the best of both worlds lately. Brilliant sunshine and blue skies have made for some amazing weather conditions, while cold temperatures have kept the snow conditions great on the pistes.

A great resort, with some lovely skiing, Rob explains why Sierra Nevada is a top destination for family holidays. There’s so much to do and Sierra Nevada offers great value for money. You can even, like Rob and his family, head to the beach for a few days after your ski trip!

This week, things have changed however, with heavy snowfalls and high winds hitting the area.

Over a metre is forecast for the week ahead, giving the pistes a refreshing dump of snow after all this sunshine and meaning that there will be some amazing powdery off piste to ski. Stay safe though and always make sure to check the avalanche risk before heading off piste. Temperatures will be averaging at around -3, so not too cold in comparison to some of the temperatures in the Alps this week, but still below freezing, which is good news for all that nice fresh snow.
