Olympians, Champions and Juniors come together for a second edition!
From the mountain to the wave, from Olympians to young hopefuls.
Earlier this year, ROXY held the second edition of the Make Waves Move Mountains Camp in Crans Montana, Switzerland. An event celebrating sisterhood between female athletes, from snowboarders and skiers to surfers.
PERFORMANCE, PROGRESSION, PASSION
This year marked the first time that all European athletes came together to celebrate ROXY’s well known spirit. The group – a mix of elite riders and junior competitors – shared moments of action on the slopes and in the waves, offering advice and help when needed. In turquoise waters surrounded by the Alps and on internationally acclaimed slopes, the group of athletes had an entire week to dedicate themselves exclusively to their passion: action sports.
ROXY SPIRIT AT HEART
Hosted by French longboarder Zoe Grospiron, juniors trained together daily, pushing each other in a competitive yet friendly atmosphere, navigating between performance, mental training and learning about the key to life balance. The ROXY team was also introduced to central elements of the life of an elite athlete: media training, product testing, campaign shoots, social media management…
The annual camp’s goal is to help deepen the connections between female athletes, creating a sense of community in their sport: junior athletes find mentors, elite athletes are reconnected to the excitement of learning.
This new 8 minute documentary, shot by and edited by Absinthe Film Europe and seen through the lens of Ahriel Povich, gives viewers a peek into the life of ROXY Girls.
