Western Canada’s leading ski resort of Whistler has just unveiled two rainbow crosswalks on Main Street which it believes are the first rainbow coloured zebra crossings at a ski resort.
“The crossings serve as a permanent LGBT Public Art demonstrating the resort’s commitment to ensuring all guests and residents feel safe and respected regardless of gender and/or sexual identity and/or orientation,” a resort spokesperson commented.
Whistler Pride and Ski Festival, which will be staged for the 26th time next season from January 21-28, 2018 is Canada’s largest LGBT winter festival and is the annual kick off to Canada’s Pride weeks.
