The British Snow Tour heads to Castleford SNO!zone over the weekend, Saturday 9th October for the final indoor event of the series – The Protest Slopestyle Championships and Slopestyle Jam. The Inspirational Schools Tour team will also continue their quest to get kids stoked on snowsports, when they drop in on two local secondary schools and welcome new recruits, snowboarder and MC – Sean Miller and freeskier – Charlie Richards to the team.
The Slopestyle discipline, which showcases a rider’s all-round riding ability, has gained huge popularity recently with the discipline earmarked for inclusion in the 2014 Winter Olympics. Previous British Indoor Slopestyle Champions include snowboarder – Jamie Nicholls and freeskier – James Woods, who have both climbed up through the British Snow Tour ranks and exploded onto the European and Worldwide competition scene.
The Protest Slopestyle Championships is looking forward to discovering fresh talent and crowning new British Champions, welcoming all ages and abilities to compete. Riders will have a variety of freestyle obstacles to choose from including, an assortment or rails, boxes and kickers.
Spot prizes are up for grabs in the relaxed jam session, with cash and Championship tiles up for grabs during the Championship event.
