Aching and sometimes painful knees are part of the skiing day for some of us, both on the slopes and afterwards when we’re trying to enjoy the après ski and all the other attractions the ski resort offers.

You put your body through a lot of twisting, bending, turning and weaving at speed, movements we’re not used to in our day to day lives, so strains and injuries are unfortunately quite common with knees the most likely to suffer.

Knee injuries account for one in four injuries in the sport, with the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and the medial collateral ligament (MCL) most likely to suffer and unfortunately often even after we’ve recovered, the ache or pain remains and can come back stronger once we return to the slopes.

But it doesn’t have to be that way, Bearhug’s bamboo Knee Compression Support Sleeves are there to not only support you whilst you’re skiing or boarding and crucially they can also be used for recovery afterwards.

Bearhug’s supports provide critical compression, driving blood flow, preventing sweat build up and thus relieve pain.

It’s not just knees either, Bearhug’s bamboo supports are also available for ankles, thighs, elbows and wrists – wherever you’ve had a strain or an injury when you’re skiing or boarding – or perhaps from some non-ski activity but which you know is going to impact your time on the slopes – Bearhug has you covered.

Bearhug’s products are super comfortable and most importantly and the bamboo fibers actually retain heat so it’s always warm, again enhancing the recovery process by increasing bloodflow.

Recover as Soon As You’re Off The Slopes

You can start recovering the moment you finish skiing. Pop on Bearhug’s Knee Compression Support Sleeves after you’ve showered and you can wear the products all night and evening ahead of another day on the slopes.

With the support they provide when you’re (usually) putting less pressure on the joints in the late afternoon and evening, recovery is enhanced ahead of the following morning back on the slopes – you can even wear them in bed.

That way your next skiing day starts with your knees in the best shape they can be for all the upcoming fun in the snow!

Bamboo Is Best

The use of bamboo in the product is a key factor in why Bearhug’s Knee Compression Support Sleeves work so well. The comfortable support the sleeves provide around the knee joint and surrounding soft tissue is greatly enhanced by the round structure of the bamboo fibres. These are non-irritating and don’t crease when worn. Bearhug created their own material incorporating 62% nylon 23% Bamboo 23% and 15% Spandex 15% to optimize these benefits whilst also providing a durable and extremely flexible support.

Bearhug’s Knee Compression Support Sleeves are easy to clean and can be handwashed in the sink of your accommodation. They can be bought singly or as pairs and are available in small, medium, large, XL and XXL sizes.  If you’re unsure what size you need there’s a guide here.

If necessary you can also exchange your Bearhug support free-of-charge for a different size within 30 days of purchase.
