Insider Tip: For a unique and educational excursion, take a snowshoe tour of the Swaner Preserve, a 1,200-acre nature preserve. During this tour, you will learn about the history of the Preserve as well as what kinds of plants and animals you will find during the winter.  Additionally, you will have time to search for and identify animal tracks and other signs of animal life on the Preserve.  Snowshoes can be rented at the preserve’s EcoCenter building.
