The ultimate family friendly ski resort with so much to do!
Travel to the slopes for free with Kranjska Gora Ski Resort, the family friendly resort which organises a special Ski Bus to take skiers to the slopes, before dropping them back home. Why not take a starry stroll through the snow with giant snowshoes kids will love or sled through the night. For something truly unique head to Mlačca Gorge just a few kms from the resort where families can watch a live nativity scene in the snow or learn to scale a 40m high frozen waterfall.

Celebrate World Snow Day in Planica Nordic Centre
The Planica Nordic Centre will host a range of skiing sessions for children and families between 19th and 20th January to celebrate World Snow Day. Sessions for children will include cross-country skiing, ski jumping, snowboarding, sledding and hockey on the snow. Learn about Planica’s impact on the snow sport with a trip to the Planica Museum – discover 80 years of world records and the very spot where ski flying began.

Cable car up the highest slopes in Slovenia
See Slovenia through the clouds from the breathtaking Kanin Ski Resort in the Soca Valley. At 2,293m, Kanin Ski Resort is the highest resort in the country. Take the cable car and enjoy panoramic views across the Alps, glacial lakes and the Adriatic Sea up to 2,202m above the ground.

Get to the slopes from the airport in just 15 minutes
Combine city and slopes with a trip to the world’s closest ski resort to an airport and the ultimate city break. The Krvavec Ski Resort is less than 10km from Ljubljana airport, making it one of the world’s closest resorts to an airport, while Ljubljana has everything you need for a unique winter city break. For families willing to travel slightly further afield, in just 1 hour from the airport you can reach Kranjska Gora Ski Resort.
Spend the night in an Eskimo Village
Enjoy a day as an Eskimo in Eskimo Village. Learn the art of igloo making, discover the fun to be had on snowshoes and stay overnight in an igloo hotel. Spend a magical Christmas by Lake Bled
Spend the festive season by the iconic Lake Bled (pictured top), where the Festive Promenade will return from 30th November. During the winter months Lake Bled comes alive with Christmas lights, a permanent Nativity Scene and festivities. You may even be able to ice skate over the lake itself! The Festive Promenade takes places from 30th November 2018 to 6th January 2019
