Ollie Hill has won Britain’s first ever Paralympic snowboarding medal, taking bronze in the banked slalom.
Fellow Brit Owen Pick was fourth.
Hill secured his medal with a time of 10.45 seconds on the first run. He went for gold on his second run but ended up with a slower time, like most competitors, saying snow conditions had deteriorated a little by then.
The race had been brought forward by 48 hours to avoid forecast rain on the scheduled Saturday race day.
It was Britain’s sixth medal of the 2022 Games in China, the team ended up with seven last time in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Sunday 13th Mach marks the final day of Alpine competition.
