Leading travel agent Skiline is offering package holidays that includes taking the ski train for the 2023-24 winter season.
Skiline say that they have launched the package holidays with its partner Inghams to bring the greener travel option by the ski train to some of Europe’s most popular ski resorts in France, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy.
There are currently no direct services to the Alps from the UK, but despite some routes requiring a couple of changes to complete the journey, Skiline say they are confident that there is a huge demand among skiers keen to reduce their carbon liability.
“As skiers and lovers of the mountains, we see first-hand the effect of global warming on our winter playground, I applaud Inghams for this initiative to expand rail destinations for skiers,” said Angus Kinloch, Managing Director of Skiline, which says it is aiming to be a leader in low carbon skiing holidays from the UK.
