A new paper map has been published ‘The Alps – Skiing by Train’ charting the position of 200 resorts in seven countries across the Alps from France to Slovenia (via Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein and Italy) to help intrepid skiers and snowboarders plan their low-carbon journey to the mountains.
The map details over 100 resorts that have their own railway stations as well as bus connection routes from the nearest station for the remainder.
It also shows main lines, branch lines and Eurostar routes as well as cable cars/funicular railways where used to access resort and journey times by train from the UK to several major Alpine cities.
There’s also a 100-resort fact-file with detailed information on extent and type of skiing available, number of lifts, altitude range, availability of glacier skiing, and information on the nearest station (whether in resort or a bus ride away).
The map is priced at £3.95 from 2thealps.com
