The French resort of Méribel in the 3 Valleys and a long time favourite with British guests will unveil key improvements for skiers and introduce night-time fun on the pistes when it opens for the season on 5th December.

Méribel-Mottaret has been re-landscaped to offer a new protected learning area where beginners can practise in total safety in the heart of the resort. There will also be two all-weather sledge runs, with plans for fun weekly night-luging, as well as night-skiing sessions from the top of the new Combes chairlift.

For skiers heading over to St Martin de Belleville there’ll be better access back courtesy of a new six-person chairlift promises to reduce the queues, and the Combes chairlift has been updated with a new high-speed version. The resort will also become the first to be fully equipped with MS Bar technology, which automatically locks chairlift safety bars for maximum security.

Finally a new ‘Yeti Park’ is set to delight children. They can follow the wide, flat Little Himalaya green run into the domain of Yooni the snowman, go in search of the friendly creature in his caves and interactive base camps, plus explore the Yak Park, where a rodeo run on hairy yaks awaits.
