A new Playgrass Freestyle Slope at Llangrannog Snowsports Centre in West-Wales is now complete and the centre staged a grand opening earlier this month.
“Having constructed the original Dendix Ski Slope at Llangrannog over 28 years ago we were very pleased to have been awarded the design and build of the new facility,” said Mike Keating, Director of MK Enterprises (UK) Ltd which supplied the Playgrass slope.
The new Playgrass freestyle slope features a tabletop jump, quarter pipe, good landing area and a lengthy in-run.
The area covers some 1400 square metres and sits alongside the original ski slope. The lower end of the freestyle slope and counter slope can double up as an additional beginners’ area when the Urdd Camp is full of students.
Aberystwyth University Ski Club use the ski centre on a weekly basis along with other groups and schools as well as the general public.
