Icelandic carrier WOW air has launched a new service to Boston’s Logan International Airport from both Gatwick and Dublin.
The self-declared “happy low-cost airline” (and you can believe that they might be coming from Iceland …) WOW air’s services route through its hub in Reykjavik and offer usually high-value fares across the Atlantic.
Checked luggage and allocated seating are charged separately as for European no-frills airline routes, with hand luggage free of charge up to 5kg.
“We took WOW air’s website for a test-flight this week and arrived at a total return fare from Gatwick of just £366 (oh, and 24 pence!) on numerous dates in January and March, including 20kg luggage, allocated seat and booking fee, and the equivalent from Dublin from just €452.41,” said a spokesperson for The New Hampshire Ski Group, who are excited about this new option to access resorts like Cannon, Loon and Waterville Valley in the East Coast state.
The Gatwick service operates five times a week, with Dublin flights on Mondays and Fridays, as well as Wednesdays in certain popular weeks. What’s more, WOW air has announced that it is commencing flights from Bristol in May 2016.
