Scotland’s Kirsty Muir has taken her first Winter X Games medal with third place in the ski big air competition.
Muir, who came fifth in the competition at the Beijing Winter Olympics just under a year ago, scored 85, behind French skier Tess Leduex and winner Megan Oldham of Canada at the famous competition staged each January in Aspen, Colorado.
18-year-old Muir posted on Instagram (below) that the result was a “dream come true”.
After first bursting onto the freestyle scene five years ago, aged just 13, Muir from Aberdeen, has already also won silver at the Youth Winter Olympics in 2020 and a silver in a World Cup ski slopestyle competition in 2021.
