Ski areas in Australia are reporting up to another foot (30cm) of fresh snowfall over the past few days with the snow still dumping.
Most of the country’s resorts have now opened at least some of their ski slopes after a mild start to June left them with some catching up to do from the season’s official start date on the 10th.
“We have woken up to fresh snow overnight which has continued throughout the day and our snow guns are firing. We’ve got lots of fresh snow in the forecast later in the week and the energy at Hotham this weekend has been awesome – we can’t wait to open more lifts and terrain soon!” commented Alex Pankiw, Field Marketing Coordinator at Hotham ski resort.
