Méribel’s Roc de Fer sector is being redeveloped ahead of the 24-25 season.

The plans include a reworking of the summit area at 2,294m to enhance its appeal to families and groups.

That includes the creation of a picnic and chillout area with picnic tables, hammocks and cosy heart-shaped mini cabins

There’ll also be a terrace spread over 40m2, complete with viewpoint indicator and a photo booth area with Meribel’s logo.

Franck Bleriot, a well-known French street artist, has been commissioned to paint the entrance and interior of the Roc de Fer tunnel.

Providing an immersive experience for skiers, the tunnel’s artwork design links to Méribel’s ski racing past including the 1992 Olympics, 2016 and 2022 World Cups and 2023 World Championships.
