Méribel is one of the easiest resorts to reach in the French Alps from the UK by train, road or air.
The closest train station is Moutiers-Salins les Thermes (18km / 11 miles) from which connecting bus or taxi services are available. It’s a four hour train journey on the TGV from Paris, which can of course be reached speedily by Eurostar from the UK, which a quick station change in the French capital.
By road the usual routes is to take the motorway from Lyon or Geneva to Albertville, then dual carriageway to Moûtiers, and 18km (11 miles) of wide and easy mountain roads to Méribel.
You can also fly into Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport, about an hour away on clear roads, which is particularly well-served by weekend flights. Geneva (2 hours), Lyon (2 hours) and Grenoble airports are also close.
