The Chamonix Valley has been beloved by skiers and boarders, and indeed pretty much anyone who visits, for generations. This winter, as every winter, there are additional improvements to get excited about !

As if it wasn’t big already, the Mont Blanc Unlimited (MBU) lift pass now also includes skiing in nearby Megève and Saint Gervais (Espace Evasion), as well as Courmayeur (Italy). This makes for one of the biggest and most varied domains in the Alps with over 700km of pistes! In addition to this, skiers wishing to discover the 4 Vallées area in Verbier, Switzerland, benefit from a 50% reduction when in possession of a 6+ day MBU pass.

If you visit in February (19/20) this winter, you also have the chance to see the return of World Cup racing action to the area when the legendary Kandahar race returns after several years’ break. The 3.34km-long course at Les Houches drops 870 vertical metres en route.

And almost any time in the season, you have the opportunity to discover more about the relationship between the British and Chamonix through the generations with a visit to an outstanding new exhibition, The Treasures of the Alpine Club, which runs from 17 December 2015 to 17 April 2016.
