Springtime Fun Events
Besides the fun of skiing in the sporing sunshine at snowsure altitudes, Les Menuires also has lots of events to enjoy in March and April.
One big highlight is on Saturday, 29th March, when the ‘Complètement à la Masse’ celebration returns for its third edition.
Open to everyone, young and old, including visiting holidaymakers looking for quirky activities, the morning is dedicated to self-challenge with a solo or duo descent, descending a snowy obstacle course over 4.3 km long with a huge 1000 m vertical drop. At the end of the contest, children win their weight in candy and adults in local beer, “Brava Vela.” The fun doesn’t end there though as the afternoon brings still more excitement at the Olympic Stadium and Croisette, with a giant barbecue, sled race, water slide, and concert.
In April it’s time for the ninth edition of Yogiski, taking place from Sunday the 6th to Friday 11th. You can start your morning with yoga up at 2,800 meters, the perfect spot for a downward dog. Yogiski then offers day retreats featuring Nordic baths and saunas, delightful après-ski sessions, and meditative evenings in a mountain refuge, complete with descents under the stars.
Following Lili Barbery’s involvement last year, this year’s event will feature Caroline Perrineau, a renowned yoga teacher known as “@theyoginist,” as one of the ambassadors. After studying sustainable development, Caroline moved to Shanghai for her first job, where she discovered yoga and became a teacher. She furthered her Green Mindset training in Bali. Upon returning to France, she garnered attention on Instagram by striking yoga poses in front of Parisian monuments, highlighting the aesthetics of yoga in addition to its philosophy.
Yogiski also includes introductions to Ayurveda, Tai Chi, naturopathy, candlelit Yin yoga, foot reflexology, sound baths, wellness sessions, and vegetarian meals – all part of Les Menuires wellness week designed to awaken your senses and foster a positive attitude ready for the year ahead as the world’s natural forces awaken from their winter slumber.

Les Menuires is easy to reach by train to Moûtiers from where a shuttle bus will bring you up to the resort. If you self-drive, again easier in springtime system, you can park your car in one of the many car parks (free outdoors, paid indoors although sometimes included with your accommodation.
