It’s been a remarkably good start to the season at Les Arcs, which is now fully open daily for winter 17-18.
The latest big snowfalls at the end of last week have brought bases up to a remarkable 115-220cm, exceptionally good for pre-Christmas.
There’s no fresh snow in the short term forecast, instead it’s sunny with temps below zero keeping the snow in good shape.
However the avalanche danger remains high off piste.
Almost 100 runs are open and 40 of the centre’s 52 lifts are operational.
