French ski resort Les Arcs is again showing how much they value British skiers by hosting four days of activities dedicated to British snow-lovers this season.
With Brexit looming, Les Arcs, which has always been hugely popular with British skiers, is choosing to celebrate their long standing relationship by hosting the Great British Celebration from 30th March to 5th April 2019 with a whole host of on and off snow activities. The resort has always been hugely popular with British skiers, and currently 45% of its overseas skiers come from the UK. The Great British Celebration aims to celebrate British culture with a full programme of skiing, parties and offers.
During the Great British Celebration the whole of Les Arcs, from Bourg Saint-Maurice to the top of the Aiguille Rouge, will be decked out in the colours of the Union Flag. The programme for 2019 includes a Franco-British quiz, a toboggan race, a speed skiing tuition, an ice warrior obstacle course, a slalom race and closing night concert. Mayor of Bourg St Maurice, Michel Giraudy, said of the Great British Celebration: “We are delighted to be hosting the Great British Celebration for the third time. No matter what happens in terms of Brexit, we are standing by our British skiers and hope they can join us at one or more activities of the Great British Celebration this season. It is a great time to get out on the slopes and enjoy the spring conditions – as well as a full programme of activities! “
