Les 2 Alpes will unveil a replacement to its key Jandri Express lift this coming winter, with an ultra modern, 3S style lift dramatically cutting ascent times up to 3,200m from 40 minutes for the current lift, to 17 minutes from this coming season on.
Les 2 Alpes is in the final week of its 7 month long ski season and since early-May has been the only French area in continual operation since last autumn.
Next Monday, July 8th, the cable of the existing Jandri Express lift which has served the resort since the 1980s will be cut, starting the countdown to the opening of the new Jandri for the winter 2024/2025 season.
The Jandri Express gondola will connect with the resort’s funicular to access 3,400m terrain and the Les 2 Alpes’ “Destination 3400” experience.
Along with a faster speed, the new, ultra-stable 3S lift promises greater capacity of 3,000 people per hour, with more spacious, more comfortable cabins.
