Last week Les 2 Alpes celebrated the opening of its new blue slope.
After 20 years in the planning, two years of work, the new blue slope « Jandri 1 » is open and allows skiing down to the resort from 3600m to 1600m in one wonderful, continual descent of 2,000 vertical
metres over 10Km in length. An accessible slope at resort level was much anticipated.
Major new development for the 2015/16 season, the new run has been carved out of the mountain by moving 550,000m2 of earth and replanted 12,000 trees to integrate the new piste.
